This world is full of struggling individuals looking for love, a safe place to put their head down at night and a warm meal. Thankfully there are many charities reaching out to these people. I know what you are thinking if other people have it cover then why should I care? These individuals aren’t just taking over our streets but our schools too. You may not even know that the boy who sits next to you in math class is about to lose his house. Or that girl that sits in the back of science class has just lost her dad. The moral of my article is life happens but we shouldn’t be making it any harder. Here are some tips to ease the pain of others by random acts of kindness.
- Write a hand written letter to an old friend or teacher to let them know you are thinking about them. As simple as this may seem it will mean a lot to the recipient especially since many people don’t receive regular mail anymore. Everyone want’s to feel important and to know you are special to someone else is the ultimate gift.

Leave a post-it note with a positive message in a public location for others to see. It can be on the mirror in a public restroom or on a door. Wherever it can be easily visible to people stopping by. The note can say anything positive that you want. Notes like “Smile you are beautiful” or “A smile goes with everything”, as long as it is a positive message you can write anything.

I challenge everyone reading this to find that student in their high school who always eats alone. Every school, college and work cafeteria has someone who doesn’t fit in. Reach out to them and get to know them. You might just find they have some really cool talents and are just looking for that one friend. I challenge you to be that one friend.
This is my quest to change the world one day at a time. Join me and we can show a generation how to love again.
